Closing Inworld Store

In the past couple of months I didn't really have time to look after my store and keep creating new things. I started a new job, I moved, and I got married! :D
Therefore I decided that it is time to close my inworld store.
My items will stay available on xstreet and maybe at some point my RL will allow me to return to SL. But for now I will enjoy my life as a newly wed and stay in honeymoon mode for a little longer. ;)

Today the Hair Fair 2011 opened its doors! Many great designers have created new styles for you!

Here are my 3 styles for you:

Jackie - I love hats! Especially those that make you look cool and classy and sexy. I love wearing a suit along with this style, or some punky outfit!

Summer - Originally I wanted to create a style bridesmaids could wear. Instead I came up with this cute summer hairstyle. Perfect for your walk through meadows!

Serena - I loved sailor moon as a teenager. I recently discovered that you can watch the episodes on youtube. So I just had to create this hairstyle for all sailor moon fans!

I currently have lots of bunnies and nests for sale, too. They have been breeding so quickly that I have far too many male bunnies. So this is the chance to grab some for your own herd!

I'm totally crazy about bunnies right now. I got myself some Ozimal bunnies and started raising and breeding them. My skybox is getting a little crowded now, so I set my first two bunnies free in my shop. But where should they stay the night? So I made some cute bunneh homes for them!
They are big enough for other pets to fit as well and because they are mod / no copy / trans you can edit them just as you wish or give them away to friends!

I'm glad I was online today when I got a notecard from the Free*Style group that directed me to the following blog post:

What it basically says is: Linden Labs wants more money. They want to charge 99L per month for listing oL items. These items are either demos (like hair) or gifts from talented designers who want to give something away for free. Yes, it might be promotion, but should they be punished?

But that's not the end of the story. They also keep charging their commissions for each item sold on XStreet. Additionally, you're supposed to pay 10L for each of your listing in order to keep it there. For me, with nearly 400 items listed there, it would mean to have to pay 4.000L just for having my stuff listed there. I am not even earning half of that in a month from my Xstreet sales.
This means I am going to withdraw all my items as soon as I get the email from XStreet that they are going to enforce these new fees.

Perfect timing Linden Lab, so close to Christmas you want to get your share of the Christmas sales, too, huh?

I'm pissed, and so are many other merchants. This is going to kill a huge part of Second Life's economy. Only those who are earning thousands from their sale will be able to pay these fees, and even they won't be happy about this.

Balloon Hunt

Oh no!

The net that held back 100 balloons broke an they all escaped! The air and the store is filled with them, in all corners they hide, some are still low on the ground, others fly high above the grass, some are close to getting stuck in a tree.

And what's even worse: 50 balloons hide items from the store inside them for a very low price (10LD, 30LD, 50LD) and they got mixed with those who do not hold items inside!

Can you find the right 50 balloons and enjoy the cheap offers? If you're lucky you can grab hair, clothes, or jewelry!

Hi!

I made cute mermaid stuff because the RFL Fantasy Fair mermaid area was just sooooo beautiful and inspired me!

But CAREFUL! Both shell halves are seperated from each other. To move both halves make sure you have both selected first. The upper part can be opened or closed by clicking on it (that's the reason why it isn't linked to the rest of the shell).

All poseballs are mod/trans/no copy.

To hide the posballs just type /1 hide in open chat. To make them show use /1 show.

The cushion comes in 6 colours. To change the colours type: /10 cushion colour (colours are: cherry, blue, gold, green, purple, red).

And because I liked one of the poses quite a lot, I sat down and extended it to a cute mermaid animation!

Hey everyone!

I'm sorry that I haven't been blogging since the news of my technical difficulties but RL became so busy quickly.
My laptop is fixed, so back to normal!

It was *Paint SL Purple* Day on Monday. For that occasion I made a freebie hat and scarf. Again sorry that I didn't blog about it earlier but if you are a member of the subscribe-o-group you should have gotten it anyway. And it is set outside the store for 0LD, so come and grab it!

Along with the freebie I made a purple edition of my neko sets "Lovely" and "Melody". I set them out for 50LD for each part on Monday, but when a friend then told me that I can have RFL vendors without being on a team (*dough* why didn't anyone tell me earlier?), so I've now placed the full sets in the RFL vendors at the regular price, so shop and donate as much as you can!
The RFL freebie box is right next to the vendors.

Last news for today: the hairfair flickr contest has started! You can win hair fatpacks of many designers and get into the RFL SIMs a day earlier than everyone else if you belong to the 10 winners!

Technical Problems + Hunt

Over the weekend one of my fans in my laptop broke. I have already called the technical support and they wanted to send a technican today, but it looks like it's going to be tomorrow until it gets fixed.
Until then, I cannot be online long enough to remove the milestones from the store. So you can still get all the good deals before they officially go on sale for their regular price.

I read on another blog that some people feel like designers treat their subscribe-o members like second class customers and favour those who join their SL group.

I disagree with that. Actually, I favour my subscribe-o-s. I have an SL group but am closing this one down. You are directed to my store to join the subscribe-o. It's a pain to have the 25 groups limit, as I need those for stores I rent in alleys, for hunts, etc, so I cannot join other update groups myself. Therefore I ADORE the subscribe-o. And I like sending out stuff on there and you don't have the join-and-leave game you often see in other update groups.

The problem with the subscribe-o is: Apparently there are some people who do not notice that they joined a group or simply don't read their chat while they are chasing the free stuff.
I've had a couple of people IMing me and telling me to "stop spamming" them. It is sometimes quite hard to stay nice and friendly when people are contacting you like that. OK, maybe they clicked on the sign without noticing it, but isn't it possible to ask nicely how to leave the group again instead of telling me that it would be my fault and that it would be my business of removing them from the group??

I don't know, is it so hard to be friendly? Are there so many flawless people in the grid who never think about the possibility that the mistake might have been done on their side?

NEW STORE

Yes yes, it is true. I've been designing so much and heavy in prims lately that it was time to expand. I'm still on the same SIM, still in the same corner, only that it grew over the path into the SIM :D

There are two majoy parts now: on the old parcel you can now find the pose area with all the lucky items like chair, cupcake, midnight mania, etc in a corner down there. Above it you can find the clothes and jewelry section.
Outside there are now 3 tents with the discounts, builds, and all the Harry Potter stuff.

In the new area you can find a whole section dedicated to hair. That area will fill slowly as I am limited on online times because of RL, but there will come quite a few styles after the hair fair ;)It is also filled with shoes, which I have now reduced in prices, too! Above that area you can now find the neko corner with all tails, ears, and accessoires!
In front of it you can enjoy the new fishing area. Sit and relax on the many mushrooms around and see if you're lucky enough to catch a cupcake hat!

I am currently working on some hunt gifts for a sweet opening event!

Pictures of the store will follow in a bit as well as a post about all the new releases I placed out in the store today!

The Lucky Tribe has started!!!

What is Lucky Tribe?

Lucky Tribe is two things: firstly, it's a brand-new, *official* "fan group" for people who love Lucky Chairs, Midnight Manias, MobVends, Cupcakes, Lucky Dips, and all the other cool stuff made by Lucky Designs. If you love chair-hopping, MM-slapping, or just have a keen eye for an SL bargain, we hope you'll feel right at home here!

However, Lucky Tribe is *so* much more than yet-another-cookie-cutter chair-hopping group. Lucky Tribe is also a framework under which we're running a whole new series of games, attractions, and events. We've spent the last couple of months devising a series of cool new ways to keep you entertained, and we've partnered with some of SL's best content creators in order to bring you a bunch of cool new prizes... the results of this work are going to be gradually released over the next few days... we're sure you're going to love it!

Here's how it works:

Lucky Tribe has it's own "currency" - Tribe Kudos Points. There's a bunch of different ways you can earn Kudos points (more about this in a moment), and your gains and achievements are tracked in a special HUD. You can also use this HUD to check out the Kudos rating of other tribe members who are standing near to you - which is useful for bragging rights! ;)

Every time you earn 100 Kudos points, you can drop in at Lucky Tribe HQ and claim a prize token. These prize tokens are special tickets (also worn on your HUD), which can be exchanged for a prize at automated redemption points, located in our event partner stores. We've tried to launch the event with a mixed bunch of partner sites, so you'll find things like clothing, skins, furniture, textures, and lots more up for grabs ... hopefully something to appeal to everybody. Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be working to bring *lots* more stores into the event!

How do I get Kudos?

There are 3 different ways to boost your Kudos Score:

(1). By doing something you already love - chair hopping! We've secretly installed "Lucky Tribe" scripts into some of our favourite Lucky Tribe attractions around the grid ... there's already a bunch of Lucky Chairs, Lucky Boards, Lucky Cupcakes and Lucky Fortune Tellers ready and waiting to grant you Kudos... so now, not only do you win the "regular" chair prize at these venues .... you also get a unique stamp on your Tribe Hud, and bonus Kudos points too!

(2). By playing one of our brand-new, large-scale attractions. Watch out for "Detonation", our new live game-show, which rewards quick-thinking, logic, and nimble fingers (just try not to get blasted into little tiny pieces in the process!) ... see if you can solve the Fnordian Moon Labyrinth; a traditional hedge maze, packed with curious sculptures and secret places to explore .... Go foraging for mushrooms with Professor Korvin, in his "Mysterious Mycological Muddle" ... or see if you can pass the Lucky Tribe initiation ceremony at tribe HQ. These - and other attractions - are already starting to roll out to partner sites around the grid - some are up and running already! ... Keep watching the group notices for further announcements!

(3). Instant Events! We're putting together a team of event hosts to run spontaneous micro-events, which could kick off at any time, anywhere on the grid.... all with Kudos awards (and other prizes!) up for grabs. Keep your eyes on the group chat, the first of these is arriving very, very soon....

Great, how do I start?

You need a Tribe HUD! ... the best way to get one of these is to visit "HUD Tiki", on the Lucky Tribe flying island HQ. However, we anticipate that this location is going to be *slightly* busy over the next few hours ... so we'll be rezzing a few of Hud Tiki's twin brothers to ease the strain. The first of these will be on the doorstep of Lucky Designs ... we'll add more if required.

Girl In The Moon

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since my last new release. My RL is quite time consuming at the moment and my online times are limited, but I've also been working on hairstyles for the upcoming hair fair in June. Those are top secret still but I can tell you it will be worth waiting ;)

YAY, finally some new releases comming from me! I'm so in love with cupcakes that I made some cute cupcake earrings! You can change their colour which means you have endless ways of combining colours and match your outfit!

You can camp for a simple version in pink/blue on the camping chair!

I have also made some new collars! These ones rock because they jingle! You can turn the jingle on and off just as you like and you can also resize the collars to make them fit your neck!
And guess what, you can have them for free! I've put them into the lucky chairs as well, so you cna either buy them when you're impatient or stalk the lucky chair!

RL has kept me extremely busy for weeks, so that I had no time to release any of the goodies waiting in my inventory, but now I have easter holidays, which means I'll release them all before I go on some love holidays with the prince of my heart, lol.

So, first of all, I've been asked a couple of times if old group gifts are available somewhere. They weren't until NOW!
I'v sent out a couple of lip rings in the past. I have upgraded them with some bling, made a dozen different colours and put them into several sets. You can also get a fatpack with all 17 colours! They come no mod/copy/no trans. All sets contain 4 different lip rings, the blue version has a bonus ring included which you can always get in the fatpack.

As Easter is coming closer rather quickly I made a few sets of Easter jewelry. The first one you can still find in the subscribe-o-history (split into necklace and earrings), but it will vanish on Tuesday morning, so better grab it if you don't have it yet.
The second one will be sent our as soon as we hit 650 members but will stay for only 24hrs in the notice history! So watch the notices! Remember, when you're set to busy it will be declined automatically!
The third set will be available only in the store so far, along with the other two. All of them are no mod/copy/no trans as well.

And then I FINALLY finished my Easter pose! I have been working on this for ages because I didn't have much time to work on the programme! But it is finally done! This pose includes the plants and the basket filled with eggs on the ground! It is mod/no copy/trans! As the Bunny Hop Hunt is currently going on, I have named it after this great event! :D

I know, I know, it has been ages since I've been blogging, but my RL is eating my time (and me!). During the last week I've never slept more than 3.5 - 4 hours a night, so you can imagine how pretty I am with the dark rings around my red eyes :D

Shoes Shoes Shoes!

While I was working on my St Patrick's Neko version, I had to look for some sculpties. And while I was browsing XStreet I found some cute sculpty shoes and lots of other cute stuff, and suddenly I decided: "Hey, you go and make shoes, girl!"
And therefore, I am proud to show you my first shoe creations!

I started with some plaid pumps, because I just love the Scottish tartan! But I better stop talking now and let the pictures talk instead.
The plaid version and the plaid skull version are available as singles and as fatpack!

Wow, I've been so busy lately, I've totally forgotten about my blog, lol!

I've created a whole jewelry set matching the Lovely Neko Line, which is why I've called it Lovely as well ;)

It contains of a collar, a bracelet, a ring, and earrings. All come with a bling that can be turned off. It is either available for sale or you can hunt for the single parts. The collar is on the camping chair, the other 3 parts are hidden in 3 lucky hearts which you can find on both levels of the store!
